Snare Drum
Snare drum fundamentals include, but not limited to concert/orchestral, marching or drum set performance, reading comprehension, rudiments, grip (matched, traditional, French), tuning, phrasing, dynamics, stick control, sight reading, tone, sound quality, timing and overall snare drum pedogogy.

Mallets
Mallet fundamentals include but not limited to Marimba (2 mallet, 4 mallet "Stevens and Burton" grip), Xylophone, Vibraphone, Glockenspiel, Chimes, ear training, develpoing "relative" pitch, reading comprehension, sight singing, sight reading, timing, scale patterns, tone, sound quality, phrasing and overall mallet pedagogy.
Timpani
Timpani fundamnetals include but not limited to matched grip (American and German), French grip, picth control, ear training, sight singing, sight reading, developing "relative" pitch, reading comprehension, timing, phrasing, tone, sound quality, dampening technique, pedaling technique and overall timpani pedagogy.
Drum Line
Drum Line fundamentals include but not limited to marching fundamentals, "marking time", grip (matched, traditional, tenor, marching bass drum), cymbal technique, drill and choreography, timing, phrasing, ensemble performance, sight reading and overall marching drum line technique.


Drum Set
Drum Set fundamnetals include but not limited to sticking, timing, fills, soloing, grooves, styles (jazz, swing, bop, big band, rock, pop, Latin, Samba, Bossa Nova, Songo, New Orleans Second Line, fusion, blues, shuffle, etc), sight reading, sight singing, chart reading, dexterity, performing with a click track, big band performance, combo performance, recording, drum head selection and tuning, grip and overall drum set pedagogy.


Recording/Performance
Learn the art of recording and performing etiquette, sight reading, jingles, subbing/contracting for artists, venues, acoustics, sesitivity to your musical surroundings and ensemble performance, microphone selection and placement, head selection and tuning for recording and live performance, booking, marketing, merchandising, demos and how to land that dream gig or pass the UIL All State Audition or First Division Superior Rating at UIL Solo and Ensemble Competitions.
